Websites
One list of every website the project’s chat can run on: your own site (or sites) and any partner sites — pages outside your domain, like a publisher or partner blog, that also carry your chat. Each row shows the site’s Address, its Type (My site or Partner), its Status, and actions.
Adding a site
Click Add site, enter the address (a full origin, no path or query, e.g. https://example.com) and answer Whose site is this?:
- My site — your own domain.
- Partner site — someone else’s site, e.g. a blog or publisher, where your chat is embedded with permission. An optional label helps you tell partner entries apart.
How many sites you can register depends on your plan — adding one past the limit prompts an upgrade instead. See Billing. If your plan doesn’t include the web channel, Add site is replaced by an upgrade note; any sites already on the list stay there and stay visible.
A Websites entry only adds the address to the project’s registered domains — it doesn’t create a working embed by itself. See Web SDK Overview › Allowed domains and API Keys for how a Web key’s own restrictions interact with this list.
Editing, pausing, and deleting
My site rows can be edited (to change the domain) or paused/resumed and deleted. Changing anything on a My site entry requires the project Owner or Admin role. Partner rows can be paused/resumed and deleted, but not edited — delete and re-add a partner entry to change its address.
Origin checks run when a chat session is started, not continuously — so Pause stops new chat sessions from that site immediately, but a visitor already mid-conversation there may keep chatting until their current session expires. Resume allows new sessions again. A paused site keeps its record; it isn’t removed from the list. Pausing a My site row pauses every domain listed on that entry, not just one of them.
Deleting a site’s record works the same way as pausing: it blocks new chat sessions from that site, though a visitor already mid-conversation there may keep chatting until their current session expires. Pausing or deleting a Partner entry never blocks an address that’s also registered as one of your own sites — each entry’s status is independent, even when the same address happens to appear on both.
